DON'T FORGET If you cannot work your assigned shift, each host needs to find another host to work that shift in your absence.
TRADING SHIFTS PLEASE
* Do not send messages in Homebase to trade shifts.
* Do not begin the trade process with a blanket email to all Hosts.
Follow these 3 important steps:
#1 Find a host to take your shift:

#2 Send a courtesy update:
When you do complete your trade, make sure you let those people you asked to trade a shift, that you have found a solution.
#3 IMPORTANT -- Request an update to the schedule.
Email the trade details to Jan & Becky:
Jan Barr ([email protected]) AND Becky Appenzeller ([email protected]) will adjust homebase reflecting any trades
Communicate to Jan and Becky, the complete "trade" email chain. Make sure it contains
Jan or Becky will then confirm with each of you that the trade has been approved and updated on the schedule.
***ALL TRADES MUST BE UPDATED IN HOMEBASE by Jan or Becky***
It is not OK to arrange a verbal agreement with another host and not update Homebase.
Start here:
- Take a look at the schedule on Homebase. Find someone (or a small group of Hosts) that is working a shift at a similar time of day and month as your request, and is not scheduled on the day you need to trade.
- It seems to work better to reach out to a few Hosts. Email, text and or call Hosts who might be able to help.
- If you are not successful in getting a trade after trying the small group, you can send a blanket email to all Hosts requesting a trade.
